Seven Notes of Consciousness– A one day Telos workshop

Telos (www.telos.org.in) maps Evolving Consciousness in us and its different states that animate our every day life. All our actions spring forth from different states of consciousness that play through our instrumental nature. An intimate experiential knowledge of these states of consciousness is an essential condition for self mastery and therefore mastery over what is happening in our lives.
In this workshop you will be exploring the following:
· The Silent Zone
This is an essential condition required to explore the finer movements of consciousness; it is a silent, relaxed yet a highly alert state of being; it is an inner poise of stillness and silence, a ground upon which all other movements takes place. There will be guided process by which the Silent Zone is arrived at.
· The States of Consciousness
After establishing the Silent Zone, on that ground we will explore experientially many different states of consciousness so that you get an understanding of these states and their characteristic inner movements in relation with outer situations.
Methodology
Instead of learning about consciousness as ideas we will be exploring them as experience through body work so that we can know their movements in our everyday life and thus
learn to master them.
We will also be using simple methods to map each state of consciousness so that we can find out which is well developed and which is yet to be developed.
We will also explore simple techniques that can help in transforming problems related to each state of consciousness.

Manoj Pavitran
Manoj is an explorer of integral yoga of Sri Aurobindo since 1989 and member of Auroville (www.auroville.org) since 1995 - an international city in the making near Pondicherry. Auroville has around 2200 people from 43 nationalities engaged in developing a new form of society based on the teachings of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother.
Arul Dev
Arul Dev has been interested in the study of transformation, since 1994. An engineer from BITS Pilani, he is the Director of People First Consultants (www.peoplefirst.co.in), a human resources consultancy, aspirating to develop the deeper aspirations of people.
